Anne Christine Casson
Forest and Climate Specialist
Anne Casson is a founder of SEKALA, an organization that develops realistic, tangible, and innovative solutions for environmental problems to bring benefits for local people and the environment. She is also a Research Associate in the Australian National University Resource Management in Asia Pacific Program. Anne completed her PhD on the political ecology of the Indonesian oil palm sector in 2001 and has lived and worked in Indonesia since 1991. Anne has worked on a range of issues including: illegal logging, forest conversion arising from oil palm and soybean expansion, the poverty/environment nexus, community forestry, good forest governance and independent monitoring of the forest sector.
