Melani Abdulkadir-Sunito is a mother of three, a lecturer in Demography, Social Change, and Gender and Development, and a PhD in Rural Sociology at Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia. She is currently doing research on migration, agrarian change and ethnic politics.
