Satyawan Sunito
Adviser for Farmers Movement
Satyawan Sunito is firmly committed to local solutions. His advocacy has taken shape in his field research into Indonesian farming communities, especially on the aspects of community-based resource management and agrarian questions. His current position is teaching staff at the Agricultural University of Bogor and serving as researcher at the Center of Agrarian Studies at the same university. He is also active at the board of several NGO's working on rural poverty and advocating for land rights for rural and indigenous people. Satyawan received his Bachelor's degree in anthropology and non-western sociology from the University of Leiden, Netherlands, and a Ph.D. from Kassel University, Germany.
