
Weaving Connectedness, Healing Barren Hills, Managing Tribes’s Forests
Decades of hard effort of advocacy and policy works on Indigenous Peoples rights is coming to fruition. In particular are the recognition of Indigenous communities, their lands and territories, and their customary forests. To fully seize these opportunities and momentum, the Indigenous Peoples in Tanah Papua need to address the challenges they currently face.
Project Goal
Indigenous Peoples of Papua are protecting and managing their territories and forests for the wellbeing of the people, the environment, and the planet.
Specific Objectives:
- People and social preparedness to organize, plan, lead, manage, implement Papuan Indigenous peoples social-economic-environmental agenda
- Protected forest, reforested critical lands
- Pilots of Indigenous Peoples corporations managing their resources, territories, and forest for conservation, better quality of life, improved livelihood.
